Jamaica is a place that fosters individualism. It’s where Davide says he was best able to use his imagination and creativity to create worlds that no one else could see. In the height of the cultural awakening of the 70’s Davide relocated to the United States with his parents and
siblings. He landed in rural Bethel, Connecticut an hour outside the bustling streets of New York City.
In high school Davide developed a keen sense of his creativity and sharpened his skills. He excelled in writing, voice, acting and art. He was also a formidable athlete. These activities created the framework for a life filled with challenges yet balanced with beauty.
A scholarship to Italy in his junior year of high school began a lifelong love affair with foreign languages, international cultures, the arts and fashion. His collegiate education began at the University of Colorado, Boulder where he studied French, Italian and Spanish. Ultimately Davide obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Western Connecticut State University.
Davide relocated to Los Angeles where he subsequently became VP of Marketing for Cross Colours Clothing: a company that amassed an unprecedented $10million in its first year of sales. He utilized his vast experience in consumer products development, branding and
marketing to become a professor of Merchandise Marketing and Entrepreneurship at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.
A consummate artist, photographer and creative director, Davide has written treatments for music videos, commercials, television shows, movie scripts and stage plays. He continues to expand his creative vision to include a myriad of consumer lifestyle products including
jewelry, apparel and home furnishings.
“Home is where my heart is... and always will be. Growing up we didn’t have much, but we didn’t know any different. We were rich beyond measure in our experiences. On our island people take care of their things. Some people are so poor they even sweep the dirt to keep it clean! This is the legacy that I come from. Now that I am able to I just want to indulge in the joy and the magic of being able to give
and to share what I have with others. It doesn’t matter if it’s an encouraging word to an entrepreneur or a fabulous bungalow overlooking the ocean! It’s all about connecting with the human spirit in our shared journey!” Davide
